Talk to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers. You'll find that they either play in the APA or know someone who does. It'll surprise you! Clerks, secretaries, janitors, doctors, waitresses, truck drivers, bank tellers, and even school teachers ... all play pool in the APA Pool League. Over one fourth of APA members are female. The APA is the World's Largest Amateur Pool League with more members than all other amateur leagues combined. Nationally, the APA currently boasts over 265,000 members (and growing).
2007/8 was again a year of growth for the Indianapolis APA. We ended the year with 976 memberships and nearly 200 teams playing on a weekly basis. 75% of APA members are beginner to intermediate players, meaning you don't have to be a Pool Pro to play. With the APA's Equalizer® Handicap System everyone has an equal chance of winning.
Look for 2008/9 to be a banner year. We are proud to offer our members an interactive Website with all the stats and features you've been looking for. Inside you'll find personalized Stats, Schedules and Division Standings; Chat with other members in our new member's only forum. Member's get access to special forms and features. Also this year we will be introducing several new programs to increase positive sportsmanship and your enjoyment of the league. You will see programs the are designed to benefit your continued promotion and support of the league. Stay tuned as we make 2008/9 our best year yet.

I've had several people who have asked about doing t-shirts for playoffs and session awards rather than trophies. So as of now, I will offer each team the chance to get customized t-shirts rather than trophies. I will have a different design each session. (If you are creative and want to help design, simply contact me.) This will be an all or nothing for each team. Your team either needs to get all trophies or all t-shirts. The default will be trophies. If you want t-shirts, you will need to complete the 'order' form and email or fax it to me. Sample designs for this session are available as an attachment in this post.
