Consider the following 8-ball statistical information:
Raised to SL 7 before best 10 of last 20 matches played.
SL7 based on best 10 of last 20. Per L.O., 11-9 of last 20.
Record of 2-9 since 1/1/10. All area scores sent to St. Louis weekly from all operating areas played. Thus record prior to 1/1/10 would be 9-0. ------------------------------------ 2-9 (1 of the wins, first night of session, Anderson 2010) 9-0 (As a SL-7 is a VERY incredible record, 10-0 albeit in 09/10 is even more incredible!!!) ___ 11-9 = L. O. report ------------------------------------------ From 10-0 (before 1/8/10) per L.O. to 1-9 (after 1/8/10) per player and combined league records.....
Is lowering this person to a SL6 a consideration?
YES or NO only please, just remember, the statistical information could similarly reflect your SL situation too.

Yes
Sounds like St. Louis players suck compared to Indy players. |

| Recently (beginning of Fall Session 09) player raised to SL7...fast forward to end of fall session, player is playing in 2 different operating areas on different nights goes 10-0 just prior to 1/8/10 then goes 1-9 up to end of Spring Session (5/20/10). |

Ok well that makes much more sense!
You are correct your handicap is based off your last 20 scores. It doesn't matter if you took off 2 years or not they are still on your "record". You have to remember that you play in a league where there is lots of sandbagging - not saying that you or your friend/ teammate are doing that just pointing out the facts - so people have been known to "quit playing" when they are raised then "start" again thinking that if they lose they will go right back down.
Also playing in 2 different areas you are going to be playing different caliber players. So your 7 may have been "it" where they played before whereas here he/she just seems average.
I have 2 players on my team right now that have lost almost 10 in a row too, but they still have "good scores" on there.
I know it is very frustrating, but just continue to play your game - or whoever you are talking about - and in the end it will all work itself out.
If nothing else works call me and I will just tell John to lower the person

I agree with mary about different caliber players.
I was in louisville for a family thing a while back, and went out to a bar for a few games. Not only did I find myself playing on diamond tables, but the "average" bar player was equivalent to probably a six in our league, I had trouble keeping up. When I can walk into any bar here and drink for free against most "average" bar players...
There is definately something to be said for a home field.

Of course you agree with Mary. She is always right.
I have seen players who have transfered from other areas and their handicap change because they changed areas. Some have went up and others have went down. Just depends alot on who you are playing against. |

everything is a consideration. Remember the L.O. has the final say so because he is the APA.
This person should be watched and red flagged. 11 of 20 is a perfect record. Meaning that he is going to have 10 win as a part of his calculated scores.....maybe. (If this sl 7 lost to another sl 7 on the hill in like 3 innings then this score would count as opposed to a winning score because this is a very good score when broken down)
The fact that all of a sudden he went like 1-9 probably tells me that he is throwing off but not necessarily, more investigation needed.
Doubtful that he would go down, needs more investigation.
